Hi guys. ๐๏ธ I finally received my physical ARC (Alien Registration Card) today and rushed to the Busan Bank branch near Pusan National University (PNU). ๐
Previously, I tried to open an account with just my passport, but they only gave me a "Financial Transaction Limit Account". ๐ The daily transfer limit was only 300,000 won! I couldn't even pay my full rent in one go. ๐ฅ Now that I have my ARC, I finally upgraded it. If you're an international student, make sure to bring your Certificate of Enrollment too, or they might reject your application! ๐ณโฝ๏ธ๐ฅ
If you are at SNU or any major university, use the bank branch inside the campus. They are very used to international students and usually have staff who speak English or Chinese.It's much faster than going to a random branch in the city.
