외국인 종합 주거 플랫폼 기업 다이버시티하우스(대표 이동수)가 부산광역시 공유기업으로 지정됐다고 31일 밝혔다.
다이버시티하우스는 외국인이 임대할 수 있는 부동산 데이터를 확보해 공유하고, 노후 주택을 리모델링한 셰어 하우스(공유주택)를 운영하며 외국인의 국내 정착을 지원하는 기업이다.
부산시 공유기업 제도는 정보기술을 활용해 공간, 물건, 재능 등 유휴 자원을 함께 나눠 사회적·환경적 가치를 창출하는 기업과 단체를 대상으로 한다. 부산시는 해마다 공모로 공유기업을 지정하고 있다. 지정 기업에는 사업비 지원과 맞춤형 컨설팅이 제공된다.
회사 측은 국내로 유입되는 외국인 수요가 늘어나는 가운데 이들이 겪는 주거 문제를 해결해 온 점을 인정받아 이번 공유기업에 지정됐다고 했다.
건설회사 주택개발본부 출신인 이동수 다이버시티하우스 대표는 "부산시 내 빈집을 외국인 수요에 맞게 전환할 필요가 있다"며 "민관이 협력하면 빈집이 가치 있는 자산이 될 수 있다"고 말했다.

DiverCity House supports foreign residents settling in Korea by providing access to foreigner-friendly property listings and operating share houses created by renovating vacant and aging homes.
The Busan Shared Value Company program recognizes businesses and organizations that leverage information technology to share underutilized resources such as space, goods, and skills to create social and environmental value. Each year, the Busan Metropolitan Government selects qualifying organizations through a public application process and provides them with business funding and customized consulting support.
According to the company, the designation recognizes its efforts to address the housing challenges faced by the growing number of foreign residents moving to Korea.
Dongsoo Lee, CEO of DiverCity House and a former housing development professional in the construction industry, said: "Busan has an opportunity to transform vacant homes into valuable housing for foreign residents. Through collaboration between the public and private sectors, these underutilized properties can become meaningful community assets."
